I like beer.

I also love cold weather, cycling, cats, skiing, bourbon, developing and scanning film, collecting vinyl records and vintage cameras, gourmet mac ‘n’ cheese, fresh-brewed tea, binging entire seasons of TV shows in two days, and playing a mean air guitar at the most inopportune times.

I also like to take pictures. Mostly lifestyle photography, using both digital and analog media, that includes weddings, senior pictures, engagements, and general portraiture. Also in my book of photo tricks is live music and events, travel, and fine-art abstracts. I conveniently service central Indiana, Chicago, and Louisville, but with travel arrangements, the sky’s the limit! So far I’ve been commissioned to shoot from Maui to Prague and plenty of places in between.

Ultimately, I approach photography from a very organic perspective because even when things are posed, I’m searching for authenticity. I’m searching for what’s real. I’m searching for you. Even at client meetings, I prefer to connect over some exotic craft beer or some rare select espresso and connect as friends and partners — business can (and usually does) wait.

Several of my photos have been selected for print in both local and international publications, from wedding guides, Rolling Stone, Scott Kelby’s The Grid, Popular Photography, Revolver, and Premier Guitar magazines. I was voted in the top 5% of Indianapolis-area wedding photographers for 2011, 2012, and 2013, but haven’t really cared to enter those competitions since.

Selected clients: Live Nation, Leica Camera, BodyArmor, SAP Software Solutions, State Farm Insurance, Spartan Race, Hilton Honors, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Global Tour Creatives, Wotancraft, Downtown Indy, Inc., 317 Events, Hold Fast Leather Goods, Townsend Corporation, Fiction Brand, Zizu Babies, RCA Realty, 317 Mortgage, The Farewell Audition, Audiodacity, Iron Valley Barbell, The Phoenix Group, Xetum Watches, Deadcameras

There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs.
