…like seven inches from the midday sun. But we stayed so cool with Kristin & Brian.
I mean, figuratively. It was really, really hot out outside. Definitely one of the toastiest days of an exceptionally toasty year. But these cinephile lovebirds picked two of the coolest venues in the entire city for their big day — the grandiose and historic Second Presbyterian Church on North Meridian Street that holds so much meaning, not just to local history, but also to the families of these two.
It’s been quite the adventure getting through this pandemic with these two, but we finally arrived. While it felt like an eternity from our first meet up at the former Flat12 Brewery, then with their amazing engagement session at White River State Park on one one of the most beautiful days to grace Indianapolis this year (which I will definitely need to be blogging this winter when I catch up)… Everything fell into place. The stained glass, the incredible masonry, the epic space of Second Presbyterian tied with the absolutely bold tartan vest from Brian, and the inspired vintage flapper wedding dress from Kristin… and then the theater. Oh yes, the theater — what other venue could you possibly expect to match the sensibilities of two people in the motion picture industry? Fountain Square Theatre is an icon of Indianapolis, and the movie-themed decor, the classic signature cocktails and coupe glasses, the swinging jazz band for dinner… Perfection.
